Freezing Lemons

Lemons have amazing health benefits. Some studies have shown how limonoids, a natural compounds present in lemons and other citrus fruit, impede both ER+ and ER- breast cancer cell growth. If you have an abundance of lemons, you can freeze them. 

Use for recipes calling for lemon, juices or lemon zest. 

To freeze, simply wash the lemons, slice and place on a paper lined cookie sheet. Freeze and then store in ziplock freezer bags. They will last 4-5 months in the freezer.
