Navy Bean Protein Shake

Ingredients:

1/4 -1/2 cup of Cooked navy beans (add gradually to thicken to your likeness)
1 quart of Milk (of your choice)
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
Raw Honey (local is best) or sweetener of your choice to taste

Directions: 

Blend navy beans in a food processor or immersion blender until well blended and smooth. Add milk gradually and thicken as desired. If necessary, after adding milk, strain through a fine sieve. Add spices and sweetener to taste. 

Serve cold. 

  • Navy beans are an excellent source of protein and fiber, so they are helpful for regulating your blood sugar and insulin levels. If you're a diabetic or borderline diabetic, you want to make navy and other beans dietary staples.
