Mashed Creamy Navy Beans
Ingredients
2 cups cooked navy beans
About 1/4 cup of broth from cooked beans or water
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or melted butter
4 tablespoons cream or condensed milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1 clove of garlic (optional)
Instructions
In a small pot, add the reserved broth or water. Add the cooked navy beans and bring to a simmer. Allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Remove from the stove and drain the beans well.
In a food processor, blender, or a bowl (using a hand blender), combine the beans and the remaining ingredients. Blend until creamy.
Adjust the thickness by adding more cream or butter as desired.
Serve warm
